It is hard to know what you don't know.
Life tends to make us all wiser along the way, and we can learn from each other. Mothers are our first teachers. Women are natural communicators and collaborators. We, three sisters from Texas, decided it was time to share what we have learned raising each other and our families. Many of those lessons about love were hard won.
This May, we celebrate Mother's Day, a perfect time to launch our family and friends e-zine. We are sharing What We Learned from Our Mother for Mother's Day. Our mother touched many lives, both in family life, at work, and in her circle of friends.
To commemorate the day, we shared articles on ways to celebrate Mother's Day and another on Mother's Day gifts, including a page just for gardening gifts.
We hope sharing through our ezine will help new and old friends and neighbors save time, money and even some heartache.
While thinking through some of these life lessons, we wanted to share information about affordable, quality products we use to make our lives more manageable. We hope you love them too. Should you choose to make a purchase through a link on this site, we may earn a small commission. To learn more about how we decide what to include, see our product recommendations criteria. Susan's daughter Lizzie contributed an article titled Lizzie's Favorite Things. It's a fun read and will give you great ideas for gift giving.
All of that being said, we are still learning, and we hope you will join our circle of friends in sharing with us. We are asking you to send us your sage advice and your questions! We want your article ideas, stories, and recipes. If we post your question, stories, or recipes online we will send you a gift!*
Just email us at sisters@kooksisters.com and join our mailing list
We hope you enjoy our webzine as much as we have enjoyed putting it together for you.
Thank you for becoming part of our circle of family and friends.

Q: I see you are an Amazon Associate. How does that work? Where does the money go?
Thank you for asking. We want to be transparent about this. We decided to be an Amazon Affiliate as a fundraiser for a family member who recently went on dialysis and can no longer work. It takes time to build up a customer base to see profits from this, usually a year. The commission on purchases through our links is 1-5% of the purchase price. Once a shopper gets to the Amazon link whatever they buy in the next hour is credited to our account if Amazon pays commission on that item, and they usually do. Whether or not you choose to make purchases from our links we hope you enjoy our content and will come back for more articles and recipes as we add them.
Q: Can I suggest products for your reviews and links?
Yes, just tell us the products you like and why you like them. If your suggested products and your review is published, you will receive an Amazon gift card under the conditions explained in this ezine. Send suggestions and your own articles to sisters@kooksisters.com.
